Local Football Clubs for Kids - HELP!!!
dimjim79 replied to dimjim79's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Great thank you! -
Hi, We have 2 kids (boy aged 7, girl aged 9) who are increasingly football mad. They've both been told at school that they are showing real potential and they should go to a local club. I'm a bit stuck as to what to do to be honest. I've heard athenlay is good but the information online is quite limited. Same for Dulwich hamlet (is this the same as village etc) and Peckham town. Any help, contacts or insights would be welcomed, keen to embrace their passion whilst it's there! Many thanks! JP

I moved to EE and it's literally been life changing! It works, 5G and phone signal. I'm on Adys road. -

We are on Adys road. Just switched to EE and hallelujah! Signal and 4G/5G! The SIM only deal is a more expensive but straight away it's worth it. *Sky mobile (who use O2 network) confirmed the mast was taken down. O2 told them it was due to be replaced by end of August 2021. Seemed too convenient to be true so I switched. -

Hi. We are on Adys and have the same issues. O2 and Vodafone. Terrible. Can anyone else confirm that EE is unaffected? Ie. I should switch. This whole situation is crazy - I was on Vodafone but switched to O2 due to signal problems. Then when I had the same problems on O2, just assumed the problem was something in the house?? This now makes a lot more sense. -
Hi, does anyone know if or when the carwash behind Sainsbury's will reopen? I'd have thought if they were going to they would have done so already?

Just curious as to what people are thinking / doing re summer holidays. Now Europe is opening up again, flights running, airports open, even France quarantine is optional, but UK still advises against non-essential travel and as such any travel insurance would be invalidated. What's it like at airports? Do you need to justify essential travel? We've just taken the decision to cancel our hols in France despite everything easing on the continent, solely due to UK government guidance. We are relaxed about COVID-19 but less so about what happens if whilst abroad it all kicks off again. Or how locals in France may react as we are loading the supermarket trolleys full of cheap beer and wine. Keen to hear anyone's thoughts as we have flip flopped back and forth with how we feel about everything.

Hi, I've heard conflicting reports of the recycling centre either being open or closed. I know it has been closed but does anyone know if it has reopened?

There is another thread on here somewhere It used to wake me up most nights in the summer at 3am then I changed to double glazing. The below is a summary, you're not going mad! https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2019/mar/13/what-is-the-mysterious-gl-hum-and-is-it-simply-noise-pollution

Dog mess outside 41 landcroft road
dimjim79 replied to Tom McCrae's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The bin at the oglander end of adys road constantly has rubbish strewn all around it. Someone leaves their trash in bags outside of the public bin leaving the foxes to have a field day pretty much every night. USE YOUR GREEN BINS (AND IF NOT USE SOMEONE ELSES - ITS BETTER THAN HAVING THE EYESORE EVERY DAY!!) -
Prepped meal delivery - floating an idea!

I'd get involved. Good luck. -
We recently had a kitchen extension done by Plus Rooms and wanted to add a recommendation. We went with them on a friend's recommendation and we're very glad we did. The whole planning and build process went very smoothly and we are really pleased with the result. The build team were very considerate and tidy which helped living through the build with small children! Would definitely recommend speaking to them if you are considering a similar project.
