schoolchoice
HiI am considering St Dunstan?s for my daughter for year 3, she is currently in year 2 and there are suspicious of dyslexia; however the school won't assess her until next year. Her current school has given her all the support she needs but she is still behind compared to her peers. She will have to move for year 3 to the junior school and I am concerned she will fall behind more in the state system as the junior school is not that good with special needs in my opinion.Has anybody with children at St Dunstan?s either in primary or secondary let me know what the school is like; whether your children are happy there and whether there is support for children with dyslexia. My only concern is that she won't have local friends if she goes there which is important in the primary school years; however if she keeps falling behind her confident will be affected too.Thank you Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/130605-st-dunstans-college-opinions/ Share on other sites
Townleygreen
I've heard positive things about St Dunstans for both aspects; it might be worth also doing a search on Mumsnet for St D's and see what people say, as well as this request. schoolchoice
Thank you Townleygreen.I went to see the school and it feels like a happy and vibrant school. I have read old threads in mumsnet and all the comments are positive. I have been reading about the school on the internet and it seems as the current Head Master is doing lots of good and positives changes in my opinion; however I do not know anybody with children there and it would be good to hear opinions from parents with children there as it is a big financial commitment and I want to make sure it is worth it.
