siousxiesue
Bermondsey Street is interesting, near Tower Bridge too. City is usually empty that time of year, lots of history Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/132424-place-for-a-xmassy-boxing-day-walk/#findComment-1075772 Share on other sites

Sue
Walk from Kew to Richmond along the river? There's a nice riverside pub in Richmond (though will probably be rammed). In fact I think there are two, but I've only been in the older one. Also some little pubs just up from the river, including one on Richmond Green.Plenty of houses to nose in windows, if that's your scene, and the riverside walk is quite leafy.ETA: There's also a pub at the Kew end of the walk - you could start in Richmond and go the other way if you wanted to end up at that one.If you wanted a longer walk, you could walk up to Twickenham - if the ferry is running there's a nice pub on that side of the river. At least, it's nice in the Summer, never been there in the Winter!
