Ideas for a birthday party venue or activity for a 7 year old boy gratefully received

Recommended Posts

We want to have a largish party - maybe 15 children, boys and girls, so don't want to host at home!

I've looked at Jags gym but think it might be too babyish for my big boy.

Anyone been to a really good 7 year olds party lately?

Treasure hunt in Dulwich Woods, ten pin bowling at Surrey Quays, swimming party (Beckenham, Latchmere, not sure about Peckham), trip to Omni cinema in Waterloo, pizza making party at Pizza Express, go karting in Streatham (bit pricey but a whole lot of fun).

Good luck

Dulwich College sports club does all different kinds of parties for dif. ages...and have a separate room for eating...themes include trampoline, football, etc...

For a smaller group or deep pockets, the Imax...

    • Closing down completely. The lovely people there are all retiring. Thanks, but Deptford is a long way to go to make two journeys to  take and collect a car! Do they not do even relatively minor repairs if it fails its MOT first time? Then that would require four journeys 😭 Wondering if there's already a thread on here for garage recommendations? People on my road WhatsApp group have recommended some local ones. I'm particularly gutted because apart from the lovely people who worked there,  Dell was a five minute walk for me!
    • I did think that might be the reason, but five years out of seven it's going to be a weekday (I think. Not sure how leap years might affect things!)
    • Probably because the 5th was a weekday. We still have the weekend to come. Also, some fireworks going off nearly every night for the last few months. Last night something was being let off that made a very deep booming noise every 10 seconds or so. That said, if the general public are beginning to see the harm done by firework noise and choosing to use low noise options and refusing to support organised events that still use the full throttle type, I for one would be very happy. Does anyone know if the Herne Hill Velodrome Halloween fireworks event used low noise options?
