where do you leave bagged up leaves?

Hi .. bagging up leaves in the green bags .. if I leave them on the street will they get collected? Are there allocated collections? Any help much appreciated!

Already in the green bags .. so I just leave them out on the day my brown bin is collected .. i think.. I'll give it a go

ooh shell no need to nip to the tip ,a lot of us will like your bagged up leaves ( just leave for 18 months or so and voila leaf mould for soil conditioning and mulch ) .

If you're fairly central East Dulwich say the word and I'll be round .

Hi Shell, if you leave the leaves in the green bags next to your brown bin, they should get collected on your brown bin collection day. The leaves will be composted at the recycling centre.

If you have too much recycling for your blue bin than leave the overflow of recyclables in a clear bag next to your blue bin.

Wouldn't the leaves have to be in those paper garden refuse sacks that you can get from the library ?

Will they take if in plastic bags ?

Hi Intexas, I agree paper garden refuse bags would be better, but Shell has already bagged the leaves up in the green food waste bags. These bags are biodegradable. The food waste is also turned into compost.
