Loudmouth PR (www.loudmouthpr.co.uk) is a small, award winning PR agency and we are looking for a freelance Account Director/SAM to work 3/4 days a week - starting either now or after Christmas. They will be hands-on working across several really interesting consumer and B2B accounts and will be an integral part of the agency, from strategy and planning to full implementation of campaigns. Technology experience (especially business tech) would be a real advantage, along with great writing skills and the ability to bring technology to life for different audiences. We are based in Dulwich, London, SE21, in a cool studio in a converted factory which has become a hub for creative industries and with a great cafe! Ideally this post is for someone to be in our office but we are open to being flexible if someone wants to mix their time between working in the office and at home. If this sounds of interested please message or email me at [email protected] and I can tell you more!

    • I've not engaged in this debate so far but you can't be more wrong. In the UK our own language is English, there is a small minority who can rightly claim their language is Welsh or Gaelic, and a couple Cornish. British Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Christians, atheists etc will usually speak British, even if not their first language.  The vast majority will be able to understand English.   A small percentage, less than two percent, of people living in the UK have little or no English (census data).  It is right that in certain situations eg schools there is signage and information in other languages, providing public information. It is wrong that a political party do this, particularly one who came across as opportunist on this occasion. There is an interesting conversation about British expats living, for example, on the continent, where I expect huge swathes who can hardly say a word of French, Spanish etc.

    • Surely the biggest scandal under Blair's tenure was developments funded under the Private Finance Initiatives (PFIs) where funding came from the private sector at high rates of interest. Around £44 Bn was borrowed for projects which involved costly maintenance contracts for years into the future.
