G'day guys & dolls!

Less than 24Hrs until the fitness session on the Rye! There are no other groups like this in S'wark, London, the UK or even Australia - other than the ones that I head up and you, the team lead!

BTW, you may have noticed that I have even dropped my Personal Training 30-min burn from ?25 to just ?15, so you don't need a buddy to take part. If there is no one else, then its just a 1-2-1 so lucky you!

Any new ones on this thread, we meet for 10am by the caf? on the Rye for an hour + low impact cardio exercise for zip, completely FREE each and every Sat & Tue eve and .... with no membership fee either! Just pop onto www.AHM-Go.com, fill in the health form and email back to [email protected].

Hasta Luego!

McCabe.

So, am I an Aussie, Irish, Scotish, Spanish, English or other....... come along and find out!

Yes it was, and FREE every week!

And,.... I forgot to give you (Sophie) a 'Gold Star' for your super deep squats heading up the 'Death Walk Hill' or DWH! I came up with this routine just seconds after we moved from the 'Dips, Squats & Press-up' benches, or DSP benches.

If you are reading this for the first time, don't worry about the DWH as its just a fun name to give to walking squats up a little slope :-)

Welcome also to Sarah & Lesley! And..., the lady who came over asking to join us next week started wtih 'Fitness Julia' in Dulwich Park this morning.

McCabe.

Hey guys!

FREE Fitness every week!

Its that time of the week again and its the Friday Rah Rah! Catch you all in the morning for 10am and a 10-05am start, meeting by the caf? on the Rye.

**New Ones**

This is completely FREE, fill in a health form on www.AHM-Go.com and email back to [email protected]. Just bring some change for a tea / coffee at the end. This is aimed at powerwalkers & joggers....., there are faster ones but they do a little bit more while remaining with the group!

See you then!

McCabe.

Hello all,

Here is the weekly Friday Rah Rah!

It looks like its going to be dry in the morning, but...... alas it 'may' not be warm enough to stretch out and enjoy a picnic - so will bump the picnic to next Saturday (reviewed on Friday again).

Catch you all in the morning with your 1Ltr bottle of water for arm, shoulder & back toning, also....and some change for a tea / coffee at the end :-)

** Reading this for the first time? **

This is a 'low impact cardio' exercise group containing CV, stretching and toning. If you are returning back to exercise or can only powerwalk - this group is ideal as we all work together as a team - even the faster ones. All you need to do is to pop onto www.AHM-Go.com, copy the health form and email it back to [email protected]

Its completely FREE, no membership, weekly or monthly fees either! Its based on what you already know about the key stretches and toning - albeit we do it in a team.

Hola!

Looks like tomorrow will be a beauty, I will be with you in spirit but my body will be with a new group I'm starting in Twickenham - but only for tomorrow, and will be back for next Saturday.... the Picnic!

Remember, start the group off and keep passing the baton around to everyone. When you get up to the top and in to the park with the formed circle - pass the baton to the person to the RHS so there is good clear communication.

Good JOB all!

    • The current wave of xenophobia is due to powerful/influential people stirring up hatred.  It;'s what happened in the past, think 1930s Germany.  It seems to be even easier now as so many get their information from social media, whether it is right or wrong.  The media seeking so called balance will bring some nutter on, they don't then bring a nutter on to counteract that. They now seem to turn to Reform at the first opportunity. So your life is 'shite', let;s blame someone else.  Whilst sounding a bit like a Tory, taking some ownership/personal responsibility would be a start.  There are some situations where that may be more challenging, in deindustrialised 'left behind' wasteland we can't all get on our bikes and find work.  But I loathe how it is now popular to blame those of us from relatively modest backgrounds, like me, who did see education and knowledge as a way to self improve. Now we are seen by some as smug liberals......
    • Kwik Fit buggered up an A/C leak diagnosis for me (saying there wasn't one, when there was) and sold a regas. The vehicle had to be taken to an A/C specialist for condensor replacement and a further regas. Not impressed.
    • Yes, these are all good points. I agree with you, that division has led us down dangerous paths in the past. And I deplore any kind of racism (as I think you probably know).  But I feel that a lot of the current wave of xenophobia we're witnessing is actually more about a general malaise and discontent. I know non-white people around here who are surprisingly vocal about immigrants - legal or otherwise. I think this feeling transcends skin colour for a lot of people and isn't as simple as, say, the Jew hatred of the 1930s or the Irish and Black racism that we saw laterally. I think people feel ignored and looked down upon.  What you don't realise, Sephiroth, is that I actually agree with a lot of what you're saying. I just think that looking down on people because of their voting history and opinions is self-defeating. And that's where Labour's getting it wrong and Reform is reaping the rewards.
    • @Sephiroth you made some interesting points on the economy, on the Lammy thread. Thought it worth broadening the discussion. Reeves (irrespective of her financial competence) clearly was too downbeat on things when Labour came into power. But could there have been more honesty on the liklihood of taxes going up (which they have done, and will do in any case due to the freezing of personal allowances).  It may have been a silly commitment not to do this, but were you damned if you do and damned if you don't?
