Are you ready for the morning to burn c.600 calories?

If you are new, this is the only FREE and cool fitness group that meets every Saturday morning for 10am on the Rye. Bring a 1Ltr bottle of water for arm, shoulder & back toning, and some change for tea / coffee at the end as its a really friendly group :-)

We cover around 3Km in 300m chunks, so ideal for those getting back to fitness and powerwalkers. I, McCabe, will stay at the back with any new ones so no one is left on their own. At every stop point there is stretching, toning, and lots more great movements too. Nothing is over the top, or too hard - its based on the regular movements we know :-).

Apparently I have a minor habit of talking too much with jokes and stories, but I don't think anyone will agree with this.

See you there.... oh yes, you need to fill in a health form on www.AHM-Go.com and email back to [email protected], I'm the big guy in purple on an Auz beach stretching before an International 4Km sea swim with 1,200 others across the world.

Hi to all,

Its going to be another hot one tomorrow - so it could be an idea to put your 1 Ltr bottle of water in the freezer tonight so its nice and cold for the morning.

If you are new to this group, then read the thread above for details.

Catch you all there!

Guess what?!

Its that time of week again with the Friday Rah Rah.

Just in from a couple of days in Oxford for my 21st Wedding anniversary - just don't look old enough :-)

Catch you all in the morning and any new ones that would like to join an easy going fun filled fitness group for FREE. See details above.

McCabe

Hi to all,

Through popular demand I am designing a new Thursday fitness group which will be c.45-mins and full on toning.

If you are not on the email list, fill in a health form from www.AHM-Go.co and email back to [email protected]. This will start on 15th August and will email everyone in the coing days.

Wow! So Sat, Tue & Thurs sessions for FREE!

McCabe

Hi to all,

We have a new group starting tomorrow night on the Rye, 7-30pm meeting by the zebra opp Barry Road. This is a 45-minute session based on the Saturday morning group, so you can be a powerwalker or jogger with toning every 300m.

It is totally FREE every week, this is part of your 3-aweek FREE sessions. Bring a 1Ltr bottle of water for arm, shoulder and back toning. You need to be registered by completing a health form to receive a print-out of the circuit www.AHM-Go.com and email back to [email protected].

Members of the Saturday group will lead the session and will pass the 'baton' around so everyone gets involved at giving instructions / counting.

Best!

Its that time of week again ... the Friday Rah Rah!

Missy and anyone else wishing to join, please pop onto www.AHM-Go.com, copy the health form / registration and email back to [email protected]. The only time we don't meet up and thats with ice, snow or dangerous weather conditions. Rain is good and will aim to keep you under trees.

Hi,

Just a quick message to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my first session today, it was awesome!

It was really nice to be in a supportive and fun environment all the while working hard:).

I have set myself the challenge of going to the Tuesday and Thursday sessions.

Thanks McCabe!

Regards

Missy

Rah Rah time for tomorrows easy-going FREE fitness - we have been on the Rye for over 5-years now and not a single penny charged!

Trainers and 1 Ltr bottle of water by the door for tomorrow morning. It will be a smaller group tomorrow due to the Bank Hol weekend, so perhaps just 20 or so.

** Picnic **

Bring along a rug, food and vino / soft drinks for the follow Saturday - we are having a picnic after the session on the 31st.

If you are new and have already filled in a health form, look out for the easy going team all holding a 1Ltr bottle of water.

Catch you in the morning, 10am, by the caf? on the Rye.

    • https://www.assistancedogs.org.uk/information-hub/assistance-dogs-emotional-support-dogs-and-therapy-dogs/   hello   i’d be interested to understand if anyone.has experience of Assistance Dogs especially for autistic children of different ages for emotional support and therapy   There was a prior thread on this topic on EDF 10 hrs ago but it had limited experiences and there was a (claimed) change in UK legislation in 2019. Whilst the industry appears unregulated/unlicensed, there are several providers (approx 15, perhaps more) who claim to have fully trained dogs or say that they can help families to train a puppy/young dog over the 18-24 months.  The latter obviously comes with a need for strong commitment to the challenge. Costs for a fully trained assistance dog are quoted at £13-15k albeit they claim £23k total cost to train the dog. On the one hand, this could potentially be a useful solution for some families if such a dog was truly trained as their websites claim and such a dog was accepted in public places and schools etc… On the other hand, I don’t think that I’ve ever seen an assistance dog of this type or in this context (only for a blind or partially sighted person) and hence a real risk of fraud or exploitation! The SEN challenge for families coupled with limited resources in schools or from local authorities or the NHS as well as the extremely challenging experience of many families with schools offering little or no support or making the situation worse leaves a big risk of lots of different types of fraud and or exploitation in this area.
    • Hi there  We live on Woodwarde Road backing on to Alleyns Top Field.  Our cat Gigi has gone missing — it’s been about 24 hours now. She is a cream Bengal. Could you please check sheds, garages, or anywhere she might have got stuck please? And if you could keep an eye out or share on any local groups/forums, we’d really appreciate it. Photo attached.   Thanks so much! My name is Jeff on 07956 910068.
    • Colin.    One for the old school.   Just saying.
    • Signed, and I will share it elsewhere, thank you for posting this. It's got nearly 70,000 signatures at present, and apparently runs till February.
