Floor sanding company recommendations?

Can anyone recommend me a company to repair my wood floor. I ask for someone you have experience with, not for some false recommendation (I think everyone using forums will understand my concerns). The surface of the pine boards in my hallway is outworn, which makes them look dull, that?s why I?m looking for someone to refinish them.

I can highly recommend you a company I've booked few months ago, I wanted them to sand and stain the hardwood flooring at my place. The guys were polite and always on time. They even showed me samples from different stains on my own floor, which made my choice much easier (and it was free of charge). I usually avoid to recommend people so much but in this case I can't help it. I saw photos of completed jobs here https://www.floorworks.co.uk/gallery if you like to check. You can get in touch with them on 020 88309782 and book a free visit, check the quote on the next day and then decide if you want to work with them or not.

I would also strongly recommend Back2Wood. Over three days in January 2019, Steve and Nichola sanded and lacquered our floorboards back to an excellent condition (they had been coated in thick black paint by previous owners). They provide really helpful advice, a high quality service and clean up really thoroughly. Totally honest and reliable and good value.

    • As the meeting, which I did not attend, was moved, as I understand it, to the Alleyn's School Theatre, one of the few venues large enough to take the members attending (the Dog's upstairs room has a capacity only of 100 as I understand it) the cost, or lack of it, of the Dog's room is immaterial. The costs of the meeting would have included costs of communications to members (printing and postage), printed ballot and voting slips etc. Nowadays these costs (particularly postage) are non-trivial. Much of the membership is of an age where digital communications are not always appreciated or even possible. The material (which I have seen) is not ideal for smart phone viewing, and ballot slips need to be real, not virtual. The cost of setting up electronic voting systems would have been far higher than printing ballot papers.
