Hi all,

I have just given birth to a beautiful baby boy however he decided to arrive nearly 4 weeks early and unfortunately we are currently still finishing off house renovations.

He's still in hospital but getting stronger and we are hoping he might be allowed out by this Tuesday 13 th December. We were staying at friend's, brother's and also did a house/cat sit during the earlier period of renovations for two week stints but now really need our own space suitable for a new born for just ten days once he comes out of Kings (builder promises the house will be okay to move back in with baby on 23 rd).

Does anyone have a house sit/ short term let going during this period that would be suitable for a couple and new born? We don't need much space just a kitchen with a microwave for steriliser and fridge for keeping expressed milk in. Our renovations are going on on Benchley gardens so will need ro be close at hand in order to keep a close eye on builder and chivvy him along!

Many thanks all!

    • Seems to be back on now although pressure reduced especially for hot water via boiler. Hopefully I can have a shower in the morning.
    • It’s far too hot. Dogs should not be out and you’re right to post this.
    • Agree that you have to be so careful dogs in this heat… but please dont judge so quickly.  Its one thing if you see a dog at midday being thrown the ball endlessly, but if you see a dog en route / somewhere - You dont know if that dog was being walked to the vet for an emergency appointment.. or taken to a friend’s house that is cooler etc.  And if they live in a flat, they might desperately need to be taken out for a quick pee / poo !
    • I know,  absolutely crazy.  A dog has never died because it didn't have a walk, but dogs do die if walked in this heat. Perhaps the owners should put on a thick fur coat, take their shoes off and jog round the pavements, and see how that feels! 🤬
