Huggers
7.45am this morning queues both lanes, but noticed that while my westward travelling lane got two goes on the green light, the opposite lane didn't move when our lane was redlighted. with a tailback to Red Post Hill. SO presume not working. Coming back the other way, 45 minutes later, the same. Then a workman came out with a Stop/Go sign and nonchantly swizzled it around while smoking a fag.It would be quicker to have no lights and people use their common sense in giving way in a road narrowed for the length and width equivalent of one double parked car. Passiflora
Agree. Both sides of traffic were stuck at stalemate for 10 minutes yesterday afternoon and I was at the front but cars overtook me as lost patience! I continued following them the short distance between the temporary traffic lights as had to keep up with traffic flow! kmoon249
Yeah the lights are dodgy and the workman prefer to smoke and check their phones. Here's the contact info if anyone needs to log a complaint.Cappagh: 020 8947 4000Cappagh.co.ukI'd like to add for the drivers riding south on East Dulwich Grove be mindful that the zebra crossing just before the temporary construction site traffic light is still in operation. I've seen 2 near misses as impatient drivers jump the cue only to realize that someone is trying to cross the street on the zebra. The worker told me its a 10 day job. Cora
I'm a pedestrian and stopped to tell the workman that the lights were not working - it gets dangerous because people then start overtaking and speeding through.....he nodded smiled and completely ignored me!....sorry I tried?! How hard can it be for them to tell those 'in charge'....
