lavender27
I do love a bargain. Are the turkeys in good condition they usually sell off stuff that is going off, best cook them straight away, and invite the whole of East Dulwich round for turkey sarnies. Keep the gp's in business.trinidad Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Season greetings all,> > Has anyone seen any bargains lately in the area??> > I managed to pick up two 7.5 KG turkeys from the> sainsbury's yesterday for only ?3.25 each -> Bargain I thought!!> > Any other bargains in the area, let us know as> soon as possible Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/136122-xmas-new-year-bargin-in-ed-area/#findComment-1086797 Share on other sites
Sazzle30
If the food item is reduced, it isn't going off but near it's sell by date/use by date, it isn't going to poison anyone ( unless not cooked properly). The supermarkets can't sell food if it's bad.Plus you can freeze the item and it'll keep. You save money and reduce waste http://www.lovefoodhatewaste.com/node/2285I still peruse the reduced section of the supermarkets to cut my weekly shopping bills, a habit I picked up as a student Give it a go Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/136122-xmas-new-year-bargin-in-ed-area/#findComment-1086824 Share on other sites
