** Dog Boarding **

I provide:

- lunchtime collect, walk and return home

- 1/2 day or full day boarding

- Up to 3 weeks boarding for the well deserved long haul holiday

All dogs have the free run of the lounge, kitchen and garden and treated like our own dogs.

I finish Personal Training at c.8-30am in Dulwich Park (Mon-Fri) and collect dogs there or on my rounds.

** Grooming **

My grooming studio is built on the side of the house, where big shaggy labradoodles come in and leave perfectly groomed, through to yorkshire terriers. This is a personal service whereby I can drop back to you on completion - no kennels or cages.

You select the style and I deliver it.

** References **

Lots of reference upon request for boarding or grooming. I have 13-years of Criminal Forensic Science, 12-years of running a Californian company in London; now semi retired and enjoying life!

My own dogs are a King Charles called Oscar, and an Arctic Fox called Wing Commander.

Having just seen the posting for Dulwich Dog Boarding & Grooming(DDB&G).I just wanted to add that I regularly use DDB&G for dog boarding and I am immensely grateful that they are based in our area. When I leave my dog with McCabe, I know that he is being left in a professional, competent, kind and loving home and that he will be regularly exercised and more to the point my dog actually loves staying with them. I have been able to go on holiday or have a day out and relax, knowing my dog is being well cared for and I highly highly recommend them to any dog owner.

Dog damn-it!

Its great to get a group of dogs together but no more than 6 for socialisation. In this role, I watch timid & shy dogs develop to playing with others - and the extroverted ones learning to share and encourage others.

As for Grooming, whether clipper blading, scissoring or pulling (soon to start) - the owners can come along and see how it all happens. You can also develop your own style of cut simply by popping onto YouTube.

Boarding dogs where the owners are on long haul holidays I encourage a number of day stays and then a few overnight stays in advance to alleviate stress.

I hope this helps!

  • 3 weeks later...

Feel free to drop me a line, I will invite you here to the dog school.

I collect on a Mon - Fri basis at 8-30am / 9am in Dulwich Park just past the vehicle barriers (up to the LHS by the tennis courts). I'm a Personal Trainer from 7-30am to 8-30am / 9am in Dulwich Park.

As a Personal Service whether boarding or grooming, I will drop your dog back to you.

    • https://www.assistancedogs.org.uk/information-hub/assistance-dogs-emotional-support-dogs-and-therapy-dogs/   hello   i’d be interested to understand if anyone.has experience of Assistance Dogs especially for autistic children of different ages for emotional support and therapy   There was a prior thread on this topic on EDF 10 hrs ago but it had limited experiences and there was a (claimed) change in UK legislation in 2019. Whilst the industry appears unregulated/unlicensed, there are several providers (approx 15, perhaps more) who claim to have fully trained dogs or say that they can help families to train a puppy/young dog over the 18-24 months.  The latter obviously comes with a need for strong commitment to the challenge. Costs for a fully trained assistance dog are quoted at £13-15k albeit they claim £23k total cost to train the dog. On the one hand, this could potentially be a useful solution for some families if such a dog was truly trained as their websites claim and such a dog was accepted in public places and schools etc… On the other hand, I don’t think that I’ve ever seen an assistance dog of this type or in this context (only for a blind or partially sighted person) and hence a real risk of fraud or exploitation! The SEN challenge for families coupled with limited resources in schools or from local authorities or the NHS as well as the extremely challenging experience of many families with schools offering little or no support or making the situation worse leaves a big risk of lots of different types of fraud and or exploitation in this area.
    • Hi there  We live on Woodwarde Road backing on to Alleyns Top Field.  Our cat Gigi has gone missing — it’s been about 24 hours now. She is a cream Bengal. Could you please check sheds, garages, or anywhere she might have got stuck please? And if you could keep an eye out or share on any local groups/forums, we’d really appreciate it. Photo attached.   Thanks so much! My name is Jeff on 07956 910068.
    • Colin.    One for the old school.   Just saying.
    • Signed, and I will share it elsewhere, thank you for posting this. It's got nearly 70,000 signatures at present, and apparently runs till February.
