mockney piers
I've never really thought it was tbh.I think it's more symptomatic of parts of society (the business world in general, but more concerningly the parts of the public sector where the divide between public and private has blurred somewhat) with an inability to come up with reasonable value judgements.I feel the same way about management consultants; total parasites that need to be eradicated entirely from government and the public sector, and taken with much greater pinches of salt by the private sector. mockney piers
In a "He's behind me" moment, I've a sudden fear that MadWorld's going to come on and tell me she's a management consultant.;-P Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1364-city-bonuses/page/4/#findComment-37099 Share on other sites
*Bob*
Forgive me.. what does a management consultant do?I know the answer will surely be 'nothing at all'.. but what are they supposed to do? *Bob*
I do more TV themes these days.. write some songs for bands.. and do commercials now and then. I couldn't possibly tell you which ones as that would, er, unveil my shroud of mystery. Laziness is a key factor.. sheer determination not to get a 'real job'. *Bob*
A friend sent me some key excerpts from that book. The author has certainly done his research hee hee. I think we're all based on each other. It's just a bit of fun really (apart from the bad bits, where, say you get 10 pitches in a row turned down so don't earn anything for a year). Anyone who takes doing such things as music for commercials and telly music seriously and considers themselves to be some sort of a proppa composer needs to see a doctor. *Bob*
Good for you Spadetownboy.I'm sure many people would prefer to trade-in their working lives for something else. Alas, it takes more bottle to get off the treadmill once you've been on it and have become used to associated perks (such as a regular income). Respec' to anyone who does it. (Not me.. I've never 'had a job' so there was nothing to shi* myself about giving-up!)I know some people see life at the office as a welcome buffer between TheMissus and TheKids, but hanging around the house with 'em all day long suits me just fine.
