Those who have taken advantage of or benefitted from emigration would be hypocritical in criticising it surely?

(Second part I have edited was just a note of warning about Irish parents with children with English accents. Which I am still coming to terms with :()

But that was point as well. I was saying we need to inform the next generations that they may need to emigrate and become immigrants themselves. So anybody unhappy with immigration in this country would do well to remember that

Of course neither of these are set in stone - not by a long shot - but they are both very real possibilities, which I mentioned in response to the popular "but where would they move to?" argument.

I do follow the news, I am not totally ignorant... I assumed that others would know what I was talking about, obviously not. Next time I will endeavour to go into more detail for your benefit, Louisiana!
