Hi,

I'm a staff journalist on a national paper.

I'm looking for females who might have a story to tell about a lodger in their home.

Did you rent a room out and fall in love with your lodger?

Did you have a bad experience with a lodger? Did they leave you in debt or even attack you in some way?

You would need to photographed and identified if you wanted to share your story.

PM me if you would like to chat.

Thanks,

Penny.

I would think you should identify Youself (staff journalist on a national paper)??

before you ask others to divulge sensitive information to you.

Of course I will, should anyone wish to PM me to chat, as I said.

I didn't ask anyone to divulge any sensitive information to me, before I tell them who and what the feature is for, nor would I.

The "photographed and identified" part refers to possibly appearing in the newspaper, further down the line. I'm not asking you to identify yourself to me now.

Thank you for your helpful post and possibly putting off someone who may have a valuable story to share.

^ Aye careful Penny, Forum Police ;-)

Actually...there has been a lot of coverage lately about how people are turning to renting a spare room out in times of financial trouble.

We are a features section simply looking for stories, uplifting or not so, of those who have rented a room out and had some sort of experience through doing so.

Really, what is wrong with you lot?

I have met some truly inspirational people through this forum who have shared stories of joy and also pain with me, that will no doubt have helped someone, somewhere in similar situations and have been very thankful to hear from those forumites.

Why do people have to post negative comments on threads that are of no interest to them? There is plenty of other 'shite' on here for you to fill your empty life with if you need to.

I posted a simple, polite thread asking people to get in touch should they so want to. I won't post on here again for case studies, which is a shame, but I'm tired of the 'thread bashers.' It's so boring.

Anybody who describes women as "females", as you do in your first post, has a problem, imho.

Glad you've met some "truly inspirational" people through this forum who have "shared stories of joy and also pain" with you - care to share also who they were?

And why the jibe about people with an "empty life" posting on here? What is an empty life, exactly??

Why are you looking for people whose lodgers attacked them?! Who has the empty life here?!

Sue, have you even read the OP? Clearly, I gave 'being attacked' as an example. Another boring, irrelevant comment. Why have you even bothered to respond? I don't need an answer to that by the way, just perhaps ask yourself the question and then move on.

Haters, it is tedious isn't it.

I'm considered a troll by the regulars :)

Good luck with your story.

    • Thanks ianr. Does everyone get the same Covid vaccine? Re your other things, I don't think the NHS records  are very joined up in various respects, despite (or because of?) the various NHS and GP apps. If you are in the vulnerable group for flu, and also for Covid, is there any reason why you are choosing to have one jab but not the other? Your choice of course, but as I understand it, both flu and Covid are expected to be very prevalent (can't think of the right word) in the UK this Winter?
    • So what you are saying is that shops encourage shoplifting as it is good for their business?  Rather a curious view. However.... for every stolen good there has to be a market, whether from a shop, burgled house, stolen bike so those buying knock off goods are guilty too.  As you infer. And one size doesn't fit all, petty shop lifting, kids being naughty, those desperate due to poverty - including addicts both to illegal substances and 'legal' including gambling, and those making a business out of it are very different.
