louisiana
Sooo, who wants to go out in the dark to buy stuff? Not me.What can I bake to satisfy the craving? I have loads of different flour, big bag of sultanas, butter etc., yeast, lots of spices, hard cheese, milk, yoghurt, jams and marmalades and lemon curd, honey, loads of bramleys, masses of eggs etc. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13807-forum-challenge-i-need-to-bake-sommat-sweetish/ Share on other sites
kpc
Crepes. Quick and easy and you have plenty of choice of toppings. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13807-forum-challenge-i-need-to-bake-sommat-sweetish/#findComment-372315 Share on other sites

katie1997
louisiana oh its too late but you have all the perfect ingredients to make those deliciously sweet, sticky, little greek-style pastries with spices and honey which would be lovely with yoghurt. Or you could have made jam (or marmalade/lemon curd/spiced apple & sultana/cheese) tarts. Anyway, hope the crepes did the trick! :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13807-forum-challenge-i-need-to-bake-sommat-sweetish/#findComment-372324 Share on other sites

HAL9000
Ha! Must be a change in the weather: I bought a couple of packs of Almond Halva and Loukoumia this afternoon and am well on the way to a gigantic sugar rush - I'm pleased to see I'm not the only one. waynetta
FROZEN scones make handy coasters for hot drinks. By the times you finish your drink, the scones should have thawed and will be warm enough to add hot butter and jam.
