HOUSE PLANT HELP

Hiya, I'm seeking some advice on how to help my house plants come back to life, they were a gift and looked so full of life the leave were so green but within weeks the leave on one plant went yellow another 2 went dry turned brown one currently has no leaves at all. when I first got them my cat took to chewing them is this the reason they have reduce in looking alive (covers face) I'm new to plants but don't want to give up on them. I'm trying to water them as told not so often as they are house plants. nay help would be great please and thank you

How you look after them will depend on what kind of plants they are.

Do they have a label with the name on?

If not, can you post a picture?

Hi Kesha, be careful with the cat as some house plants are poisonous. If your cat is an indoor cat,he/she may appreciate some cat grass. I'm good on pets, not so good with plant problems. Good luck.

water, light and warmth (ie not being too cold) are the keys, but don't overwater and feed the plants occasionally with some liquid fertiliser...they short turn out fine as long as they are not Ficus, which are a pain in the butt to look after!

not too god with indoor plants either, if your cat needs some cat grass you can get it from a garden centre in forest hill round the back near Maplins . they have a variety of grass and plants for cats, he/she will love it.

In my experience, anyway, the thing with Weeping Figs (and probably other Ficus) is that they don't like changes of conditions.

So if they suddenly drop all their leaves it is usually because something has changed, eg a significant temperature change.

The leaves do grow back, but it depends whether you want to look at a load of bare twigs for weeks until they do :))
