Blacksmith/ Someone skilled in Metal works for Personal Project

Hi!

I am currently studying a Masters in Architecture at Kingston University, but live in Dulwich.

I have a project in which we are meant to design and create a fragment of our building design, both for understanding and as an encouragement to familiarise with building techniques and materials. I am looking to explore metal works in an interesting way, and was wondering if anyone knew of any, more or less, local blacksmiths/metal workers, who could potentially lend me a hand with some stuff.

Ideally it would involve me getting hands on with metal work, while being guided by someone who had a good understanding of the skill and the material.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

    • These neighbours dislike trees period. They refused to have lost trees replaced by the Estate on our communal green. They don’t like the leaf and seed droppings. These make the grass look ‘messy’. Similarly, they don’t like my policy of leaving the tree leaves where they lie on the grass verge - hence chopping the overhanging branches. It’s like living in the 1950s. My neighbours have three gardeners with leaf blowers who come twice weekly to remove every leaf from their front lawns. Their grass is cut weekly and all the  cuttings put in multiple brown bins. It’s an outdated mindset of the moneyed classes in my view. But sadly, I’m very much in the minority.
