A2216 London - A2216 Lordship Lane in Southwark closed in both directions at the Heber Road junction, because of an accident.

There was some talk of cyclist & elderly lady in the other thread.

I went to catch the bus at the Heber Road bus stop at 6pm...only to see a bin or some kind of metal container on fire! Firemen arrived a few seconds later...although don't know why that would result in the road being closed 4 hours later.

oh dear

i nearly got run down by a rogue "176 to penge" this morning at 8am and they were still running down barry road at 9pm this evening.

And a 185 to lewisham.

I did reply on the other thread as well - a pedestrian was knocked down at the junction with Heber Road around 8.30pm and sustained head injuries. The police were there until gone midnight and I am praying that the guy that was knocked down is OK.

Thanks for the photo of the bin - I wondered what had happened when I got to the bus stop this morning.
