"Moving from the ground" yoga workshop in Camberwell 4th Feb

Recommended Posts

Our bodies are designed to work in the field of gravity. As soon as our amphibious ancestors moved out of the water and onto land, our body structure evolved to allow us to resist gravity. Of course we all move from the ground, but many of us have lost that direct, experiential, ancient connection with "ground". We've become un-grounded. City life is un-grounded.

These two workshops are all about redeveloping our connection to the ground. We'll be exploring what it really means to "ground" and how that feeling can inform our yoga movement. We'll be learning how to "move from the ground".

Part 1 - Rooting Down

4th February, 14:00-16:30 at ZenYoga

Part 2 - Reaching Out

25th February, 13:00-15:30 at ZenYoga

Cost: ?25 per workshop

Hi Mark

Happy New year

Unfortunately I can't make the first workshop, but if you happen to have a space on the 25th I would like to join this session. If not, I'll book another time. (I understand the principal of grounding......it's just the practice that is weak.....what a surprise!

    • A long overdue review for Niko who we have used a number of times over the years, sometimes to properly finish a job that other plumbers have not done properly. He thinks of everything! I only ever use another plumber if it's urgent and Niko is away. A really kind and thoughtful man and totally trustworthy
    • At the time of posting previously, we had no idea of the dates we would be having the children. The maths place - you pay for a course of lessons . The coding session would be good but you need to book well in advance. Also grandson has been doing coding since 6 years old. He now has a 'mentoring role' at his primary school as his knowledge of this subject is years above his chronological age. Dates are still up in the air as their father is trying to juggle leave from a new job in the north of the country.
    • why not have a pasty shop - we could have Cornish pasties, Jamaican patties, empanadas from all the different regions.... I like all three.  I'm still going to support the Chacarero family business, as I don't support chains, just as I don't buy anything from Gail's, Nero, Starbucks etc.
    • Thought it had been a fish and chip shop at one time?
