uncleglen
I believe that the Brexit vote and the pro Trump support is a backlash against "the liberal elite propaganda we have pumped out of the BBC." as rendelharris quoted. Unfortunately because of the actions of Tony Crosland and his pals the working classes have been denied a decent education to enable them to compete rhetorically, and in the workplace, with the 'elite' and the voting was a result of their personal experiences and frustrations. On Newsnight TM was allowed to actually say her speech but as soon as DT started speaking- you could see his lips moving- some idiot bloke was doing a voice over- telling us all what the BEEB wanted us to hear- not what Trump actually said- bloody fascists Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/140034-a-successful-may-trump-meeting-yesterday-discuss/page/2/#findComment-1098182 Share on other sites

Louisa
I find this whole obsession with one leader ridiculous. We have courted some of the most dubious of world leaders for state visits in the not so distant past and very few of the 'liberal elite' even batted an eyelid. This forum was quiet, no mass hysteria. By all means hold him to account, call him up on the things he does and says, but don't set up thread after thread going over the same drivel and achieving bugger all. Its almost as offensive as the topic at hand! Louisa. uncleglen
You can say what you like but it does not alter the fact that what is going on in the 'world' of islam is far worse than anything western democracy can conjour up. rendelharris
Oh well that's alright then, should we cease all attempts to call our leaders to account until their actions fall below the standards of an Islamic dictatorship? jaywalker
It was a success in one sense, and May will be absolutely fuming: at a stroke Boris has been reinstated in the media as a serious politician (crikey) as he immediately said the decree was intolerable whilst she prevaricated.
