Warm/outdoor clothing, fleece, coat etc for 13 year old boy

Son is going on a school trip to a cold country shortly and I just thought I'd try the EDF to see if there are any second hand fleeces/waterproof trousers/weatherproof warm coats/walking boots (size 7) for sale before I hit Decathlon and buy a load of stuff which will probably only be worn a couple of times.

Son is average height for 13 (about 5'5"), slim build, size 7 shoe.

I have a decathlon down filled ski jacket age 14 that I would be happy to sell for ?10 (hardly worn) but it is bright red and therefore may not be what a 13 year old boy would want to wear!!
