Nick has built a superbly crafted set of shelves for us, designed to accommodate as many books as possible. His design suggestions proved to be excellent, he was helpful and accommodating and very easy company in the house. Would strongly recommend. Nick Broughton 07815 873373

Niko, excellent as ever, came round at very short notice today to sort out a leak for us. He’s always happy to offer ongoing advice, all round good guy!

You could try koorosh Nejad [email protected] No personal experience of using him - but I met him last week and he gave me his card. www.hearingnow.co.uk

There were builders carrying out repairs to the flat roof above it at the weekend - maybe they had a leak after all the heavy rain that needed fixing. It certainly seemed to close very suddenly and without warning!

There is now a need to request a collection (this is free) - if you don't the tree won't be collected even if you do pay for a brown bin collection - as I found out to my cost this week!

We got 2 parking tickets despite having renewed well in advance of the expiry date of our permit. On renewal we received the email stating our application had been successful so thought no more about it until the tickets were put on the car. When I phoned the council the guy I spoke to said that the payment had been cancelled (not by me!) and I should have received an email to say that the payment had not gone through (I received no such email) and so we did not have a valid permit. Appealed to the council and they upheld the first ticket as the email confirming our application had been a success contained the get out clause "provided the payment was received" - although how are you supposed to know that it had not gone through unless they tell you - it appeared fine and dandy on website. They agreed to cancel the second ticket on the basis that it was issued within 24 hours of the first.

Anyone else getting their Oddbox stolen?
Carrie replied to Dullwitches's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Mine was stolen a few weeks ago. I got an email with the photo of the box in the porch - by the time I Got to the front door (about 3 minutes after it was delivered)the box was gone. I suspect the driver was followed. -

Trouble Trying To Buy A CPZ Parking Permit On-Line?
Carrie replied to Zak's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We have been having exactly the same problems, doesn?t seem to matter whose name is the lead on the council tax bill - the system will not recognise the account number. Tried the phone line - listened, through gritted teeth, to the endless messages saying how easy it was to get the permit online - finally got put through to a recorded message which said ?sorry this mailbox is full? and the call was disconnected! Have uploaded a water bill and await confirmation from Southwark that I do indeed live in the house for which they have been charging me council tax! -
Do get a proper diagnosis of IBS before doing an elimination diet, as IBS symptoms mimic symptoms of other conditions. But once you have a diagnosis then the Monash University FODMAP app is great for managing elimination and re-introduction do you can find out your individual trigger foods.

We need a motorised valve wired in to a timer so that we can run our underfloor heating separately from our main heating system there is already a separate timer installed for the underfloor heating but apparently this was being ?overridden? by the timer for the main system. The motorised valve has already been installed by a plumber but the electrician he recommended has let us down (on a number of occasions!) Any recommendations?
