Trump's tweets are becoming multi tweet rants. Now he is even blaming the machines! The descent into madness deepens. But at some point, someone is going to have to stop it. Someone is going to have make him hand over the office. He has no say or power over that.

Funny world isn't it. We were promised an easy Biden victory but woke on Wednesday to find it difficult to understand what was happening. Those more in the know new that Trump would fare better than expected and it would be a slow burn victory for Biden. But even so the Beeb was so cautious contributing to our mass anxiety.

Looking back at other predictions this article was published on 15 October and on avoiding prosecution "That seems to be what Trump is preparing now: insurance against a loss, so he can skate past criminal charges and live out the playboy post-presidency he has longed for since taking office." interesting reading including comparison of Trump with Mussolini https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/10/lazy-cowards-dont-start-civil-wars/616720/

Title is Lazy cowards don't start civil wars.

Well, I'm jolly happy. My son is a communist, my mother is daily degenerating with dementia in a nursing home and I can't see her, my wife though excellent isn't getting any younger and I seem to be getting more and more dick-heady by the day. But I have danced my little sandals off since the orange plonker missed the putt, the absolute cock.

One feature of the election that confuses me is Congress. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2020/nov/03/us-senate-house-of-representatives-elections-2020-full-results-congress

The senate seems to be stuck on D 48(+1) R 48(-1) . Who are the 4 remaining states?

Actually in practice i think it is D 48.5 as the D vice president has casting vote.

Georgia is likely to have a run off in January for two seats. Then you've got Alaska and North Carolina from that link.

At the moment only the second Georgia seat is Democrat and the only chance for a second is the other Georgia seat .... I think.

They held a press conference last night (not sure where, a tiny room somewhere..) with Kayleigh McEnany spearheading the session with her summary of outright fraud, then backed-up by a couple of other sycophants. Most commentators and outlets were aghast at what was being alleged by that team.

The people nailing themselves to Trump's mast (ooh-err), probably have no other options and are aware their careers are effectively over if the ship actually sinks. Which it already is, BTW.

Trump has said for weeks this is what he'll do, now he's doing it.

Scary side to this is Trump's cult followers will believe this is a just cause and we get more showing-of-arms, protests, clashes, then inevitably, harm and deaths.

Shameful behaviour from a desperate, psychopathic, paranoid, traitor.

Have I missed something? - did not our own President, sorry PM, nail his colours to the mask with his support of Trump? I assumed DT had had preferential treatment in terms of Presidential state visits, but it just felt that way due to the massive media interest. And that these visits were very different to the welcoming arms that Obama got. BJ never reflected that difference in public opinion, but I suppose that you can also argue that many in middle England supported Trump so out antipathy wasn't that clear cut.

Steve Cortes is his strategist here and the 4 main points as listed in today's Guardian are

"His key points boil down to this:

The levels of voter turnout ?defy reasonable expectations?.

He doesn?t believe that ?a candidate as doddering and lazy as Joe Biden? could out-perform Barack Obama who ?boasted rock star appeal?.

There were too many ballots cast just for Joe Biden without filling out the Senate and House races.

States haven?t been rejecting enough mail-in ballots compared to historic levels."

Points 1-3 of them can be answered by many people really really really hate Trump.

Point 4 - Probably in % terms and we are in a pandemic and a lot of people stayed at home to vote and took extra care over that vote.

Here's the Cortes article in some right wing mag.

Actually I put in hundreds of illegal votes.

I didn't think anyone would notice, it being such an unimportant election 🤣

This article pretty much nails it. Trump is heading for nothing but embarrassment in the courts.

So what then? And that is the really scary question. Trump is ramping up the rhetoric on twitter. There is an emerging insanity which is then echoed and amplified by an army of gullible supporters.

Where are the adults in the room? Who in the GOP has the balls to tell him it is over?

Is Trump really going to incite civil war, or his armed supporters to lay siege to the White House? Or will he eventually leave, but vow to be back, and spend the next four years taking America further into a divisive abyss? Undermining Biden in every way he can. This is a dangerous family, judging by comments also made by his sons.

    • I’m not sure how many other people have experienced this; but both me and one of my friends have the same story. Around Crawthew Grove and Crystal Palace Road: I was followed by a large fox right on my heel. At first I didn’t notice because I had my headphones on, but then I noticed my shadow had an extra lump in it, funnily enough, it was a fox, very very close to my feet. Even if I sped up walking it just tried to get closer - it was quite frightening actually, it was quite clear that it wanted to nip me. I didn’t know what to do so, I started to reprimand the fox and walked slowly away from it, facing it - which it didn’t seem to like and backed off a bit. I then proceeded to speed-walk away.   Quite frankly, the whole situation was quite embarrassing and a little bit frightful as I’d never had a fox even come up to me. I’ve heard of particularly curious foxes that might come up to someone who beckons them, and maybe even bite that person, but I’ve never heard of a fox chasing someone. The amount of confidence that it had was incredible.    When it happened, I was on the way to see some friends, and once I had told one of them, she told me the same thing happened to her.  if anyone else knows anything about this bitey fox then let me know!
    • Another recommendation for Andy. I needed an old kitchen removed as an emergency. Andy came over quickly and did a fantastic job. I have used Andy a few times. He is punctual, helpful and always does an  excellent job.
