GinaG3
Hi Ladies,Thought I would comment to let you all know whats happened after this thread. Lord knows, it may help some people too.Today its my daughters 2nd birthday and I think our journey has ended. Last feed was last night at 8pm, bedtime. Woke up this morning, been a hectic day all day, but still time for 'boobie' if she had wanted. Never asked once (if your reading this Molly - it kept reminding me of your story!!). Tonight everything died down we wound down for a bit and she tried to ask me to sit down, but I told her she was a big girl now and she could just have milk (in her new Charlie and Lola cup ;-)), gave her the cup which she didn't want and just rocked to sleep singing twinkle twinkle little star. Glorious. No feeding for over 24hrs - milk dried up straight away!! This happened to anyone so quickly, doubt I had much anyway to be honest. For the last few weeks its been so horrible for me, constantly chewing at the nipple. ERGH! I turned round and said I was going to put my foot down and stop the other day to daddy, never, ever thought I would! Anyway I've hit my milestone and just wanted to share, its been really nice journey and would recommend to anyone! Got to go for dinner, no doubt back later. x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14196-breastfeeding-toddlers/page/2/#findComment-406451 Share on other sites
The Nappy Lady
Ah Gina....Congratulations...if that is the right term...it sounds like the time was right for you and your little one, and exactly the same as me - I stopped on the eve of C's 2nd birthday too. However - C will happily drink 3 or 4 big beakers of milk a day if I give her half a chance - "Hot Mook please Mummy" is a phrase I am all too familiar with!Enjoy your new found freedom, I still feel deep joy everytime I'm poorly and realise I CAN dose myself up with whatever medication I feel I need - wooo hooo......(how sad is that)?xx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14196-breastfeeding-toddlers/page/2/#findComment-406469 Share on other sites
