So, I arranged to have coffee with my friend at the new Jacks this morning.

Then I read on this forum that Jacks was going to be closed today.

So we decided to go to Blue Mountain instead

and darn me it that wasn't closed due to huge filming kerfuffle outside.

We went to the new Blue Brick instead - very nice too.

If you want a really good cup of coffee and don't mind a stroll, head to Romeo Jones in Dulwich Village. Everything's great about the place, except the older lady who runs it with sidekick Patrick. She's somewhat sour-faced, but everyone else is friendly and polite. Their cakes are to die for, especially the lemon & rosemary.

The Blue Brick is on Fellbrigg Rd (jist off North X Rd), and Jacks is (I think) on Pellat Rd., right down nr the junction with Lordship Lane.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
