Non-dormer loft conversion - advice sought

Has anyone got first-hand experience of the above?

If so, which firm did it and what was the cost (and when)?

Extra space would be good, but not at all vital, and I would prefer to keep costs and mess down. Also, a loft converter told me the space would be very low without either raising the roof or lowering the ceiling of the first floor - things I would not want to do at all.

  Always prefer to support non chains - so many lovely places with good food to choose from with pleasant staff who know about customer service and sadly, non English which says a lot for our culture, ? Does your broadbrush bias extend to Welsh, Scottish and N Irish/Irish waiting staff also or is it only non-native speakers that you admire unconditionally?! Hospitality staff are a varied lot, as are their moods and attitudes at any one given time.

  I've noticed the same, thankfully they're too fluttery for my cat to catch. I've noticed the white ones always seem to travel in pairs?
