breastfeeding nightmare - anyone know where can get a pump?

We're having something of a breastfeeding nightmare - engorgement, thrush, mastitis (twice) and blocked ducts. The full set I think. Anyone know where we can get hold of an electric breast pump to hire? (Or indeed got one we can borrow?)

As above, I recommend ringing Medela on 0161 776 0400. They can have a breastpump delivered to you the next day.

the Spectra3 is only 50 pounds on Amazon. I got it following a friend?s recommendation a couple of weeks ago and I am very happy with it too - it arrived very quickly and it?s really good...good luck!

There does seem to be a lot of breastfeeding threads on here at the moment. Is it the weather?

Not sure whether to get a pump or not now - getting conflicting advice which is really frustrating. Why can't the midwives, doctors and lactation consultants agree?!

If we do get one then the co-op chemist seems the quickest and cheapest so thanks for the help.

Jamma, a pump can be good if your nipples need a break, you are getting overly engorged or a tiny baby won't latch and is very sleepy. Then IME it comes inti its own if you go back to work and want your baby to have breastmlk when you're away
