Front Door renovation suggestions

We live in a 1930s house with all original front door, door frame and leaded lights. They are not in too bad condition but they are tired looking and I want them to look beautiful and smart. I would also like to increase the insulation by getting the glass encapsulated in new timber frame double glazed units, putting insulation board on the inside walls and re-plastering, and of course renovating the door itself with a new paint job, filling in old lock holes and smart new door furniture.

Has anyone done this locally and could you recommend someone who might take on the job? I think we are maybe looking at more than one trades person. My main focus is the front door itself and the leaded lights.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks.

    • There  is a dance fit class at Harris girls on a Monday evening 630 pm which I have been going to for years . It is an inclusive class  with a wide range of ages.    The  teacher is Fi and she is amazing and  the classes are lots of fun.   look on the web justdanceuk .com. There are other dance classes  (flowetic )that Fi and the lovely Lizzie runs  at Harris girls too . They also have an event next week which is a bit further- near Penge  which is a day of dance to include  just dance fit, dancehall, line dancing, garage fit and flowetic . Which is also available to book on that website  ( look at the events section) .
    • that’s just been misused first by Faraz and then Starmer. It’s evocative and negative.  But it’s flooding the news today.
    • I didn't realise that either! I thought it just meant division within communities - religious, racial or otherwise.  Yes, it is frightening. The days of the broad church political party are over.
    • So I've done a little more research into the current use of the word, I hadn't realised it had latterly been used to describe anti Muslim feelings. Still don't like the use of the word. These are horrible times and am fearful for the future.
