kelda Posted February 26, 2017 Share Posted February 26, 2017 MUDDY BOOTS Children's Outdoor Nature Group sessions at the Devonshire Road Nature Reserve in Forest Hill.Come for a blustery day outside tomorrow! - we can use the visitor centre building if we need to get dry, but we'll definitely be getting out for an explore in the woods to see what signs of Spring we can see.Spring flowers are out, buds on the trees, bulbs coming up and the first FROGSPAWN is here! Come and have a look and a feel of the first stage of life for the Reserve's Common frogsWellies and waterproofs needed!The sessions run all year round, so that way children can get outside and and have fun in all the different seasons and weather!Muddy Boots sessions: - join us for time at basecamp learning about different aspects of nature, there'll be a hands on nature activity (this may be nature investigations, simple tool work, or a seasonal nature craft). There's also digging, watering and mud painting on offer in the garden. We have a walk in the woods (distance to suit your child) and then we head back to the Meadow Basecamp for snacks and drinks, songs, stories or poems.It's hands on, engaging, relaxing, fun, and all outside in the fresh air of the lovely nature reserve.Sessions run every Monday and Friday 10-11.30. They are currently drop in sessions, so no need to book ahead, just turn up on the day.Meet up at the big green iron Reserve gates on Devonshire Road (opposite Tyson road) at 10am.
