Christmas meal, in the evening. Is anywhere open and serving food locally? I have so far discovered that Palmerston, Franklins, Forest Hill Tavern, and Herne Tavern aren't. (Serving meals, that is, some of them are open just for drinks).

In the old IT days (before change control and the like) I used to love working over Christmas, so did loads of other staff - get loads done whilst all the users are off and get double/treble time for it.

Now most companies won't allow changes over Christmas.
