Full time Live In Nanny needed from April in East Dulwich

Recommended Posts

Hi

We are a fun, laid back (but busy!) family of 5 (one boy, aged 3 / twin girls 16 months) living in East Dulwich and looking for a permanent live in Nanny from middle to end of April. More details below.

We're slightly up against it time wise so do let us know ASAP if you're interested by PM or by email at [email protected].

Many thanks,

Gilly Haskey

ABOUT US

Family of 3 children. The eldest boy is 3 years old, he is brilliant fun and has a great sense of humour. He speaks very well for his age and loves reading books, but is also mad keen on tractors, trucks, fire engines and anything that has wheels. He enjoys playing with his farm animals and vehicles. He is a confident little boy, happy to make friends quickly and go down a slide head first. He loves being chased, and running about. Like a typical little boy he is very rarely neat and tidy. He needs a nanny with a good sense of humour, who knows when to calm him down or when to encourage him, but is also not a walk over. He gets on very well with his twin sisters, and is generally very loving and sweet with them. The twins are 1.5 years old and are non-identical and are both just learning to walk, especially Imogen who is very daring, Sophie is a bit more nervous. Both are very smiley and fun. Imo enjoys babbling and Sophie loves cuddles and pulling funny faces. They currently enjoy trying to do the actions to nursery rhymes and enjoy dancing to music and clapping along. They are very good at eating and will generally eat everything and like using their spoons themselves.

OUR CHILDCARE REQUIREMENTS

Nanny required to care for the twin girls for two days a week sole charge (when the eldest boy goes to nursery), three children two days a week sole charge and shared care with mum one day a week. The little boy will continue to go to nursery two days a week. There will also be shared care every day from 5.30pm when mum gets home from work and will do tea/ bed/ bath together. The working hours will ideally be Monday to Friday, 7am till 7pm. The family live in Dulwich, which is very close to central London and has great transport links. It is an oasis of green but next door to fun and vibrant parts of London with lots of caf?s, bars and restaurants. The family have their own garden, and there are also lots of parks nearby; it feels like a village but close to the centre of the city. There are lots of brilliant child classes (both free and paid) in the local area - we usually have one activity/ class per day. The accommodation for the nanny will consist of own floor of house, with own bedroom and bathroom shared with the children. Holiday travel will probably not be required. Driver is not required for this role but happy to put the nanny on car insurance if that becomes useful.

The family are looking for a kind, honest and passionate nanny to care for their children, a nanny who is reliable and organised will fit in well with the family. The nanny will conduct the standard nursery duties for this position.

    • What I find strange, was when I was up here in Sept, fags were a pound or two more - fair enough. What I can’t get me head around is  how-in 4  months it can go up that much… I use either Waterloo or Paddington Stations and what has become very clear over the c last six months is how all retailers have added a pound or two along the way  on everything.. M and S, Starbucks, and all the chain or independents in stations.  In future, thing I will be bringing my own sarnies for the journey - £2.80 for a cup of coffee on the train sounds very good compared to the prices  of chain cafes.
    • Prices at WHS are ridiculous. I thought £4.80 was for the price of a meal deal when I went to buy a small bottle of orange juice. I was wrong.
    • We went to Love Dulwich a couple of times last summer and found food good. We have a family meal anticipated on a Friday evening in February - adult who needs gluten free food, plus a couple of vegetarians. and 2 children under 12  one who cannot eat dairy produce. Any suggestions for a restaurant?   we have done Maria's in the past. Ideally in ED on a bus route   and where we can reserve tables. Possibly will be 9/10 of us. Also 2 of us use walking aids so limited steps plus a disabled toilet.  Would also consider Peckham.
