Children recording a 'what's on' audio guide!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

We run all sorts of weird and wonderful audio, podcast & radio projects for children and young people (and occasionally adults) and we need your help... or more specifically your children's help!

We're looking for two children to record a few 'what's on' style audio guides for our upcoming workshops later in the year. If your children are confident readers (we will have a script) and not shy around microphones, we'd love to hear from you!

We are based in East Dulwich and more than happy to travel to you or you can visit our home studio/living room! We're completely flexible!

We have our pop-up recording studio ready to go and we would just like a similar style to this (recorded previously by local children:

The recordings are great fun and shouldn't take longer than an hour to make. We can also send you an MP3 file of your recordings once edited and we can also record a short snippet of your choosing as a little thank you from us!

Do let us know if you/your children fancy having a go on our microphones and feel free to browse our website to see the kinds of audio projects we get up to! http://www.wordplayeducation.co.uk/

All the best,

Zoe & Leon

    • What I find strange, was when I was up here in Sept, fags were a pound or two more - fair enough. What I can’t get me head around is  how-in 4  months it can go up that much… I use either Waterloo or Paddington Stations and what has become very clear over the c last six months is how all retailers have added a pound or two along the way  on everything.. M and S, Starbucks, and all the chain or independents in stations.  In future, thing I will be bringing my own sarnies for the journey - £2.80 for a cup of coffee on the train sounds very good compared to the prices  of chain cafes.
    • Prices at WHS are ridiculous. I thought £4.80 was for the price of a meal deal when I went to buy a small bottle of orange juice. I was wrong.
    • We went to Love Dulwich a couple of times last summer and found food good. We have a family meal anticipated on a Friday evening in February - adult who needs gluten free food, plus a couple of vegetarians. and 2 children under 12  one who cannot eat dairy produce. Any suggestions for a restaurant?   we have done Maria's in the past. Ideally in ED on a bus route   and where we can reserve tables. Possibly will be 9/10 of us. Also 2 of us use walking aids so limited steps plus a disabled toilet.  Would also consider Peckham.
