Job posting - part time administrative assistant in Design Consulatancy

Recommended Posts

Dear East Dulwich Forum members,

Having made a posting a couple of weeks about about where to post a job advert, here is the actual advert:

Administrative assistant or studio manager:

My company, Goodwin Hartshorn, is a small product design consultancy based in Deptford. We design a variety of products from kitchen utensils, surgical instruments, loudspeakers and lots more besides. See here: http://goodwin-hartshorn.co.uk/projects

We have been running for about 15 years and have realised (possibly rather too late) that we could do with some help with our administrative tasks so that we can concentrate on designing. As we are a small company, we don't think we have enough admin for a full-time role - perhaps 2-3 days a week is more likely. Moreover, we can be flexible on start/end time so perhaps the role would be good for a mum with commitments at the start/end of the day.

As we've not had an administrative assistant/studio manager before, the role can evolve. However, some prior experience with book-keeping, invoicing etc. would be useful.

Salary: to be discussed.

Start date: as soon as possible - hopefully early April.

Please reply to this posting and I'll then respond directly.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Edward

    • Thanks all.  What a shame about the hospice guys.  Will have a look at pines and needles. 😀
    • Pickup your dogs shit off the street, it's so simple. Don't own a dog if you cannot do this basic service. Pathetic. Cleaning my shoes of dog shit for the 2nd time this month. What's going on?
    • Hi SpringTime, I completely understand the concern for protecting birds, but using bells on cats is a bit more complicated. While they may reduce hunting success, they're not always effective & can cause stress for some cats, who are highly sensitive to sound. A better solution is to ensure cats are kept indoors during peak bird activity & providing plenty of enrichment at home to satisfy their hunting instincts. There's a terrible misconception that cats do not require as much mental & physical enrichment as dogs do. But they do, if not more so.
