Good roofers

Just had some roofing work done to my new place in Honor Oak. I used a company called GTS Roofing who were really good and cleared up some very poor valley work that had caused leakage into the house.

Clearly explained what they needed to do, had me up on the roof to explain the progress halfway through and provided all the relevant before and after photos. I dealt with Terry Read who was really responsive throughout the whole process - from confirming the booking on Friday afternoon the scaffold was up first thing on Saturday and the work was complete by Tuesday lunchtime. Hopefully won't need them again for a good while but would certainly recommend - I found them through checkatrade here;

- Does anyone remember an incident from the late 90s/early 00s in which a young man fell to death from Dawsons Heights?

  Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
