I understand that Goose Green Primary is now an academy, and that therefore its admission statistics are no longer published in the Southwark booklet on primary schools.

Is data on number of applications, number of sibling admissions, and maximum distance under the distance criterion available, by year?

Can I ask the school? can the school refuse to share this data? Or is it already available somewhere?

For example, Wandsorth Council publishes these statistics even for academies and other schools which are not under the direct control of the council: http://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/downloads/file/10616/previous_years_admissions_for_wandsworth_primary_schools

I'd like to understand if something similar for Southwark exists.

The PDF here: http://www.2.southwark.gov.uk/downloads/download/2483/primary_school_admissions is less detailed and does not include figures for academies, like Goose Green Primary.

Thanks!

You could also try this, but not sure exactly how accurate its data is - it claims to remove siblings and those allocated on other priorities other than distance from the maps.

    • Whilst clearly 'a crime', I don't think this necessarily sits with the other things you have described. A tragic and awful incident certainly, and dreadfully traumatic to the victim, but not part of any 'crime wave' as such, I suspect. It's the sort of thing which, sadly, can happen anywhere (I, again, suspect).
    • Does anybody have a folding pasting table they no longer need? All the ones I've found online seem to have terrible reviews, mainly due to being unstable,  or else coming apart! I don't mind if it's grubby, I just want it to gesso wallpaper lining paper, for art not walls!
    • Massive thank you to Stephen. Painted our whole house - and got lots of other bits sorted, too. Nothing was too much trouble, everything looks great and all came in on quote. Fantastic. Liverpool fan, but don’t hold that against him. Will 100% use again.
    • We worked with Eliot recently to get two sets of shelves built. He was excellent! Really high quality craftsmanship, communicative and lovely - I’d recommend Langley Carpentry in a heartbeat.
