Electrician recommendation needed for outdoor lighting

Hi All,

Looking for a recommendation for an electrician on 30th May this year to come and advise and fit an external lighting ring in my garden. Cables will be laid underneath a new concrete patio being laid on the same day. Armoured cables, junction boxes, connecting to existing fuse circuit of new fuse on the main circuit. Also looking for advice on the type of lights, volts needed etc.

Have done the usual phone around but struggling to find a household electrician rather than a commercial one and would be good to support local businesses

Thanks in advance,

Darren

Hello - I'd really recommend Gary Vu. He's speedy, a good communicator, pleasant and does a great job. Tidies up when he's done and it up front about costs. I've used him several times and always been happy with the service. Gary knows his stuff. Call him on 07872 178044

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
    • Sorry if I’m being slow but there’s no point in having a gate then is there?  Would have thought it was basic manners to respect someone’s property
    • I didn't say wedge it "slightly" open. I meant to wedge it fully open.
    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
