New Indian Restaurant MEMSAAB

New Indian restaurant - MEMSAAB on Lordship Lane has opened.

I went to check it out yesterday lunchtime and had an amazing curry and rice. It is spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

They are going to put a special lunchtime menu on in the next few days.

Well worth checking out.

I went in last night. Great food, I had a lamb dish which was delicious and well cooked. I was glad to see people in there, hopefully they will become ever more popular.

I think that's a myth.

I cook curry all week, no smell on carpets.

My extended family are Pakistani and all my life their carpets and upholstery haven't stank of curry !

You smell it when you go in the house, becaue there's always food on the go, that's all.

(this would mean if you cook food with a lot of garlic, your carpets / furniture would smell of that !! Nah...)

Sam Wells... Do you really think they are the same? Even the two you have posted have completely different decor, frontage etc. Memsaab is surely a common name for an Indian restaurant. Much the same as The Taj Mahal might be.
