sunlamp
Hey allI'm new to the ED Forum and I must say it is a skill idea.I've been getting into eco stuff lately and I wondered if the EDF could benefit from a Freecycling forum? The premise is simple: Freecycling is an alternative to Recycling. It works like a reverse Ebay. Local people proffer the things they might otherwise take to the dump, give to charity, or simply leave on the kerb. The idea is keep stuff out of landfills. Sure you can ebay a lot of stuff, but it's hassle. And obviously this is South London and anything left outside the door disappears within 12 seconds. But if someone is willing to show up and take away and USE those old computer cables, or that old filing cabinet, or that Beatrice Potter bread bin, the result is still a reduction in waste. www.freecycle.orgWhat do you reckon? People could post up stuff they're going to chuck with a proviso that they'll kerb it if no one interested in 24 hours.
