Miss felt tip and myself are getting wed soon and we are having a very small church service followed by a meal with immediate family. We would also like to have, the following night, in central London a party for our mates. How would you word the invite to the party to make it clear its just an after party as such without making it sound naff? I.e. You aren't invited to the actual wedding....

thinking of hiring Rules cocktail bar but other tips would be great.

We called ours a wedding celebration. We did similar but had the party the same night.

You are invited to celebrate the wedding of........ The location should make it clear it's not the actual ceremony.

We used Tart Bar in Farringdon. Hired whole place (not very big). No hire fee but minimum bar. Probably not to everyones taste due to the art work/decor. The staff were brilliant and we had an amazing time.

Just call it a "reception", everyone knows what that means.
