Ok, I have always loved Not Going Out. Laugh out loud.

Mrs M thinks its rubbish, never even a smile, and refuses to watch it now.

She likes Car Share. Which is clearly pants

I watched Hospital People - very not funny. Very.

A tired sitcom that wasn't particularly funny in the first place - perhaps that is why Tim Vine left vs some clever writing that will not allowed to bccome tired as it is ending after two short seasons. Bit of a no brainer.

I'm with Mick Mac on this one! I just don't get the Car share hype! Not going out gets my vote - and Lee Mack used to live in ED....

OK - to clarify, and to compare like with like, I'm talking early Not Going Out, compared to early series Car Share.

NGO is tired now, I agree, but I used to find it very funny, and everything tires eventually. And as for Tim Vine.....

Car Share I just find absolutely awful. Tried again last night - I really just don't get why its "funny".

And the reason I have picked NGO as a comparable is that they are similar genre - slapstick / boy likes girl or girl likes boy / not getting together

I wouldn't class Car Share as slapstick. Regardless, it wins hands down, better scripts, acting etc.

No, but I'd say that RF was closer to CS than NGO is in terms of humour. They both have a very northern sensibility about them...
