tfwsoll
Is there anywhere more local than the Manor Place Depot that will take small electrical items for recycling? JS33
According to their website, Currys accepts items for recycling. I've been meaning to take things to their shop in Peckham Rye, but haven't yet tried it. tfwsoll
Thanks JS33 - I just checked and it looks like I'll be able to recycle all my items. Dodo1
Or you can go to the Lambeth Council one off Rosendale Rd. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15157-recycling-small-electronic-goods/#findComment-399652 Share on other sites
peckhamboy
Or, if they still work (and maybe even if they don't) stick an ad on here and someone will probably take it off your hands. Twirly
Or even pop it on the wall outside your house with a "please help yourself" note on it. Mr Twirly did this recently with a couple of items. The only thing that worries me is that if those who took them decide they don't want them after all, that they recycle them properly. netnanny
Good idea to advertise on here - just did that with a printer and scanner that has been hiding in my cupboard for the last year Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15157-recycling-small-electronic-goods/#findComment-399802 Share on other sites
belladonna
Southwark Freegle, Lewisham Freecycle...I put an iron on and was deluged with people's requests.it went to a woman whose autistic son needed clothes ironing...she's broke and delighted.. probably better than Manor place if the item is still working, plenty of people need your cast offs. Or on EDF. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15157-recycling-small-electronic-goods/#findComment-399827 Share on other sites
tfwsoll
The items aren't working so they aren't much use to anyone. I am still in the process of clearing out so if I do turn up anything that could use a good home I'll advertise it here.
