Office 2010 product key - Nerd question

I am going to buy one - is there any reason why I shouldn't buy from a USA based website? It's the cheapest I've found.

MS Office is usually compiled in various editions for different countries and languages. The US edition may not support an English (British) dictionary/thesaurus and metric paper (such as A4 etc) and print measurements (although you may be able to download a free language extension pack). Support might be an issue, too.

Apart from that, it should work OK (but don?t take my word for it).

Have you considered OpenOffice - it's multi-language and free?

Have used Open Office but I do a lot of work in Excel and didn't really get on with Open Office, this was a few years ago though and I'm sure it's prob better now.

Maybe for the sake of a few quid I should buy UK

Not that I can think of one. I've bought soft from the States before (I'm running it as we speak) and had no issues with it. Just make sure you're getting a legal copy, not a copy, cause it can really backfire on you. But if it's a legit business, you should have no trouble with this buying what so ever.

Have you tried Software 4 Students ? Currently offering Office 2010 for ?38.95 - licence for two PC's.

Only available to those with children in full time education - which I believe you do..
