aandl
I've decided to set up a WhatsApp group for local women who have PND right now, think they may have it (even if you don't want to admit that just yet) or who have come through or are recovering from it.My son is 11 months old and I fell apart when he was 6 months old. One of the hardest things has been admitting how I feel and wondering how other mothers will view me. I'm much better than I was but know I have a long way to go..I'm part of a First Babies WhatsApp group which I love and when there was a recent post about maternal mental health, I really wanted to keep the conversations going. Of course, Not everyone is experiencing mental health issues so the threads move on to other things! If you feel like you need support, a space to be accepted on the darkest of days or if you can offer support as a recovered mama, please send me your mobile number and what name you'd like to use and I'll set up the group Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/152040-post-natal-depression-support-group/ Share on other sites
thefords
Excellent idea. I'm a Baby Yoga teacher and I had post-natal depression too. Not using this to promote classes at all but the community helps and mother and baby support helps. Always happy to discuss. Natalie Doula
This is a really wonderful idea and a support that is definitely needed. I work with lots of mums so would love to find out more so I can direct them to you. Many thanks Natalie Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/152040-post-natal-depression-support-group/#findComment-1135135 Share on other sites
