Opinions on DLC pre-school swimming lessons?

Hi, I'd welcome feedback on experiences of the pre-school weekday swimming lessons at Dulwich Leisure Centre please?

My 4.5 yr old isn't the most confident swimmer so I'm looking for classes that she'll really enjoy and get a boost from.

Hi, we had a slightly mixed experience with our then 4 year old. The first six months or so was great. Same teacher. Lovely lady who was great with the kids. Then I think Southwark changed the provider, and our son had about 5 different teachers in a relatively short space of time. It might well have settled down now but we ended up moving him after another new teacher pitched up! This was about a year ago now, so, as I say, DLC might well have sorted it out.

Hi there,

It might be a bit of a trek for you but the pre-school group at St Dunstans school in Catford is really really lovely. I was a bit worried about how my son would take to getting in a pool without either parent and his teacher (Belinda) was so warm and gentle. If you can't find anywhere more local I think the teachers there are worth the journey.

I'd say it's worth going there during the lessons and ask parents watching their kids. My son although just recently started, has had a great experience. So I'd just go to speak to the parents themselves.
