Very stupid techy question

I want to put a link on my blog that says "follow me on twitter". I've worked out how to do this except I can't work out what, oh dear i don't even know the name for it, um, web address? to put in the relevant place. You know, the http etc etc bit that means you'd actually get through to the bit on twitter where you find me and click on "follow".

Anyone have any idea what I'm on about? And if so can you help?

It will be http://twitter.com/ followed by your Twitter username, so http://twitter.com/leaglebeagle for example.
