Hello, could you tell us what time you saw this cat? Not sure if the posting time is correcton this forum. We have had a black cat missing since about 11pm last night

Update. I have now taken the body to Lomax's Vets, by the Harvester, to see if they could find a microchip.

Unfortunately one couldn't be found but they have kindly agreed to keep the cat for two weeks and then cremate it, if nobody comes forward.

That's very kind of you to go to those lengths, hope the poor owner is able to say goodbye properly.

I know that now - as I brought it in on Thursday evening, I did not think it could be the same cat, as that one was reported as having gone missing on Friday night. Also its condition led me to assume it did not have an owner :-$

I would have kept it a day or two before bringing it to the rescue centre, but couldn't as I was going away. I didn't see the notices until yesterday.

The safest additional security measure is what's called a ghost immobiliser, which cannot be traced through the car's electronics, meaning it is difficult to bypass. They cost a bomb however.
