  1. Robert Mills arrived exactly on time when he said, he fixed the Ideal combi really quickly and collected the money later. A reliable worker who I will use again. Thanks.
  2. Found in Pellatt Road this afternoon. PM me if it's yours or I'll destroy after 7 days.
  3. I have something that belongs to him and would like to return it. If you know him/are him please PM me
  4. Is this the cat? This one has a very distinctive moustache marking.
  5. Found today in Pellatt Road opposite the Lordship Pub. PM and describe the bunch. Claimed by a neighbour.
  6. I couldn't find a better place to post this so have to post as LOST. Findus the much loved ragdoll cat was hit by a car and killed instantly at about 9am today. I know that many locals have loved Fin and taken his picture many times, often with his lady friend Bissy (who is still in the shop). Our sympathies go out to Fin's owner who is also devastated at her loss.
  7. He is chipped but I forgot to say in my original message. He has been very clingy since returning and surprisingly, his brother who has been very unsettled while he was gone, is quite aggressive towards him. Cats!
  8. Thorin, our small tabby cat with a white bib went out yesterday morning as usual about 6.30am but has not returned. He will be in the area of gardens bordered by Lordship Lane, Heber Road, Landcroft Road and Pellatt Road. If you have a shed that he could have been trapped in please look. Still no signs PM or 07851 975 625. Now offering a $50 reward. If he comes home of his own accord, the ?50 will go to Celia Hammond I am delighted to say Thorin came home, soaking wet, completely nonplussed, starving, at 6.45 today! I shall go to Celia Hammond today.
  9. exactly the same call to me tonight about 5pm. Come down to the shop and ask for me, Mr Roberts, Needless to say nobody knew anything.
  10. British banknotes are valid today, as they were when printed. Unlike many foreign currencies that are valueless a few months after being superseded. I thought the same thing when I saw the last episode!
  11. Somewhere in the back gardens encircled by Lordship Lane, Heber Road, Landcroft Road and Pellatt Road. Very unusual, he normally only goes out for 15 minutes in the morning, but today he has not come back. If you live in this area would you please check sheds, etc. Thanks He came back, very frightened, at about 12.30 this morning. If anybody did let him out of a shed, thanks very much.
  12. 52 Grove Vale now Blackbird Bakery. Was a book shop, before that a drycleaners, before that a Launderette. Before that it was Rogers the joke shop.
  13. No. I believe you are confusing with Gretton Ward who sold similar items to Edwardes Bros.
  14. The most annoying aspect to this ridiculous set of lights and their control mechanism, is that they are TOTALLY UNNECESSARY. All that was required was the junction to give all traffic (buses and cabs)in the bus lane side priority over the traffic in the outside lane. Therefore no traffic lights!
  15. It really annoys me when the bus announces "Champion Hill" as it goes down Dog Kennel Hill. IT'S NOT!
  16. The Launderette in Gibbon Road, just down the hill from Nunhead Station, does a fantastic ironing service Monday to Friday.
