If you live in SE15/Bellenden area you should consider Sternhall Lane Surgery. I think its fairly new - like a few years old. We have been there for 2 years - reception staff lovely, all the doctors we have seen are great and friendly - there are 4 main doctors and we have never had a single issue with any of them. The resident midwife Dionne is lovely, i saw her throughout my first pregnancy and it is a joy that she is my midwife in this next pregnancy. The nurse is also lovely and was very kind/thoughtful at each of our baby jab appointments. Its not hard to get appointments and we rarely wait long to get in - we had to make an urgent appointment when our daughter was very poorly recently - the GP called back within an hour and then saw us an hour or two later.

She may have done, recognise the name from a friend who does go there - must be hiding away from the anxious patients who are faced with hostile "frontline" staff who really do seem to regard patients as the enemy. The surgery's idea of what constitutes a telephone consultation would be funny if patients weren't generally ringing because they're frightened, confused, in pain - etc.

Glad I don't go there, the whole place seems shambolic.

Just an update, Melbourne Grove Medical Practice is still a load of crap. My 15 month old was stung by a wasp on her face. Within seconds her mouth was swelling. Thought it would be quicker to run the two minutes up the road to the medical practice, rather than call an ambulance. They tried to turn us away because we didn't have an appt! I told them that I thought she could been on the verge of suffocating - her bottom lip was the size of a golf ball. They said they'd let her see the next doctor. 10 minutes later, still no doctor but more swelling, so we hot footed it to A&E. The receptionists really couldn't have cared less, despite the very obvious swelling. We were terrified. I realise they're not an emergency department, but really, surely, when a small baby has a serious reaction to wasp sting, shouldn't that be a priority?

Fortunately she's fine thanks to Kings, but what a bunch of losers at Melbourne Grove Medical practice. Definitely NOT recommended.

    • I'm not deliberately swerving anything. What exactly have they said in their communications in languages other than English that you object to? Why would they put those communications in other languages when the whole point was to connect with a specific group of people? Apologies if I've missed your point.
    • The point (which you're swerving) is not that the Greens spread their message in a language other than English - it's what they have said, and why they're shy about saying the same thing in other languages, including English. If a party in Northern Ireland circulates leaflets in Ulster Scots only that tells voters to elect them so they can be a strong Protestant voice, and has videos in Ulster Scots only that seek to discredit the First Minister by showing (a propos of nothing) images of them meeting the Pope - is that inclusivity or sectarianism?
    • A few of you have mentioned the Palmerston . I think you’ll be pleased when you find out who’s the new boss.
